We started out 31 years ago splicing wire to rope for halyards and afterguys, along with the average double braid and 3 strand. I’m happy to say since the introduction of Spectra and Vectron and dyneema, we haven’t had to splice wire to anything which translates into less bandages. The worst was the wire eye splice, (we still have the eye splice clamps). In a nutshell we are extremely proficient at splicing  all cordage.
